Casa Italiana Book Club听

Casa Italiana hosts this book club that meets once a month to discuss听Italian books. The Club is open to anyone and its purpose is to offer the possibility to practice the Italian language and/or learn about Italy and its culture. The group suggests the books, usually by contemporary Italian authors, that reflect the changes that have taken place with time in the language and customs. The discussion is informal.

Participation is free.听

When: First Saturday of each month at 11:30 am

The听Italian Film Series听and the听Frank DiMino Casa Italiana听are proud to bring 听contemporary Italian films to the Rochester area.听

Films will be screened at the听Peace Theater (Room A14), located at the lower level of the听Nazareth Arts Center.听There is also ample free parking in close proximity to the theater.

The film screening will be followed by a dinner at the听Frank DiMino Casa Italiana,听located in front of the Arts Center.

Free for Nazareth students, faculty and staff. New ticket price for Casa Italiana members: $7.50

Fall semester movie calendar:听

  • Saturday, January 25, 4PM. Movie: L'ora Legale, a film by Salvatore Ficarra.听
  • Sunday, February 16th, 5PM. Movie:听Un mondo a parte,听a film by Riccardo Milani.

  • Saturday, March 29th, 4PM. Movie: C'e' ancora domani, a film by Paola Cortellesi.
  • Sunday, April 27th, 4PM. Movie: TBD.

*Tickets can also be purchased at the door at a slightly increased price.*

Italian Conversation Table听

The Italian Conversation Table is an informal conversation group led by Daniel Speciale and other members of Frank DiMino Casa Italiana. Its goal is to provide attendees with an opportunity to practice Italian in a casual setting.听

When? Every Thursday at 5 pm. Where? Casa Italiana Le Chase Lounge.听
