Your first year at Nazareth is your opportunity to hit the ground running. FYE guides you through building your academic and transitional skills, getting involved on campus and discovering your place as an active member of the community.
Community and Connection
Gain a deepening sense of direction and engagement through your degree and course progress. Create a sense of campus, local, and global awareness through participation and reflection.
- Orientation: The Orientation events, activities, and information sessions help you not only acclimate to campus but feel at home here.
- Community Engagement Programs: There's something for everybody here, no matter what your interest, time, or commitment level is. You can make a difference in your community!
- Academic Success Coaching: 聽One-on-one meetings can help with organization, motivation, academic skill building and any tough transitions.
- First Year Community Assistants: Upperclassmen who work directly with First Year Residential Programming to help new students transition.
- First Year Residential Experience: Themed living opportunities that help students get connected to a community on campus.
Career and Curriculum
Actively participate in the exploration and integration of knowledge, skills and aspirations. Develop relationships with your peers to form a strong class identity.
- Center for Life's Work: Meet with your career coach and begin to plan how to reach your goals.
- Academic and College Success (ACS 101): This class is built to prepare you to connect to and succeed at Naz.
- First Year Seminars: Connecting your major studies with your first year transition.
- : FREE tutors! Any students can request help for succeeding in any course.
- Undeclared: Open Path Program: Not sure what you want to major in? No problem. Learn where you want to be and what you want to do through this proven effective program.
- Academic Advising: Navigate through registration, transfer credits, working with your advisor and so much more.
