Tutoring Times Spring Semester 2025

Weekly drop-in tutor sessionsÌýare in person or via Zoom. Both options are available during the day; after 4:30 p.m. onlyÌýZoom is available. The tutors are student workers who are native speakers or have studied a foreign language extensively.Ìý

Tutoring starts on Monday, February 3 in GAC-423.ÌýYou canÌýreserve tutoring timesÌýduring drop-in tutoring hours by logging into your Nazareth email and using yourÌý.

The Emerson Language Lab is closed Apr. 22 (CARS); limited online tutoring available.Ìý

Most tutoring hours are offered every week; some are offered either in Week 1 or Week 2. See alternating lab schedules below. Tutoring is provided for the following languages at the following times:

Lab Schedules

Nazareth's fully-equipped Emerson Language Lab has resources for foreign languages and English for speakers of other languages.Ìý

The lab has 22 computers, headsets with microphones, and an assortment of interactive multimedia programs including voice-recognition and recording software. The Emerson Language Lab director and tutors facilitate lab use and offer technical support.

Professors and students have assistance during their lab sessions in the Emerson Language Lab.ÌýThere areÌýopen lab timesÌýduring the fall 2024 semester, starting Tuesday, September 3.

The Emerson Language Lab will be closed October 3, 4 (UG Reading Days) and November 27 - December 1 (Thanksgiving Recess).

Additional Spaces

Language Lounge

Designed as an overflow room, this space offers students computers with the same software as in the Emerson Language Lab, a printer, and a TV. It is a popular spot for students to work on assignments when classes are in session in the lab.

German Cultural Center Seminar Room

Well-suited for meetings and small classes, this space has a smartroom, a couple of computers, a TV, and a DVD player for viewing a collection of foreign DVDs.
