Emily received her Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Music from the University of Wyoming and her Master鈥檚 degree in Creative Arts Therapy with a specialization in Music Therapy from 夜色视频. Emily鈥檚 clinical career has focused on working with children and adolescents along with their families to improve overall health and well-being.
Early on she connected with infant mental health principles and that relationships are at the heart of quality services. She aims to see individuals holistically through a trauma informed and culturally sensitive lens. Emily values her professional and personal relationships as she continues to learn and grow in the context of others. Her greatest joy and learning experiences have come from her role as a mother which further fuels her passion for sharing and teaching IECMH to others in the Rochester community.
Rhonda Walker, MSW
Rhonda is an accomplished Infant Mental Health Trainer and Consultant with over 24 years of experience serving families in natural environments. She is deeply committed to promoting the best opportunities for a bright future for children and their families by partnering with them respectfully and inclusively, advocating for their health, well-being, and safety, and working to strengthen and heal relationships.
Rhonda is passionate about promoting Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, recognizing that every family is unique and deserves individualized care responsive to their cultural background and specific needs. She has extensive experience providing trauma-informed care, ensuring that every family is treated with compassion and respect, and recognizing trauma鈥檚 impact on mental health and well-being.听
Course Description:
Imagine a supervision model that is relationship-based, trauma-informed, practices cultural humility, and is developmentally centered while also integrating your personal and professional self. During this six-hour presentation, you will learn about Infant and Early Childhood mental health basic beliefs and principles as it sets the foundation for reflective supervision practice. We will provide an introduction to Reflective Supervision and analyze the Reflective Interaction Observation Scale, a reflective supervision guide and tool. There will be a live demonstration of a reflective supervision fishbowl which involves observing an example of reflective consultation and intermittently engaging in group discussion to reflect on your own thoughts and experience in the moment.
