'50s

Kenise Kilbride 鈥59, Hist., has been 鈥渄rafted鈥 to return to teach at Ryerson University for the second term in a row, this time a graduate course in Multiculturalism and Planning Policies.

'60s

Peg Rooney Hall 鈥65, French, co-authored Second Wind on the Way of Saint James: A Novel, with her husband, Russell J. Hall. The novel is about hiking The Way of Saint James (El Camino de Santiago).

'70s

Carol McManus 鈥71, Soc. Sci., made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land in November with a group comprised mostly of parishioners from St. Leo鈥檚 Parish in Hilton, N.Y., and St. Louis in Pittsford. There she enjoyed a magnificent, once-in-a-lifetime journey through 鈥渢he pages of the Bible鈥 and drank in the culture, environment, and atmosphere of Israel.

Kathleen Rourke 鈥75, English, received the 2013 Volunteer Leadership award from the Central New York Region of the American Red Cross. The award was presented for her 鈥渙utstanding support of the American Red Cross Tompkins County chapter.鈥 She also received her 15-year pin signifying her years as an emergency services volunteer. Presently in her final year of obtaining an M.A. in pastoral studies from St. Bernard鈥檚 School of Theology and Ministry, Rourke is doing an internship this academic year at Hospicare of Ithaca.

'80s

Lawrence Dugan 鈥81, Mgmt. Sci, Perf. Arts., recently earned a Doctor of Management in Community College Administration and Policy from the University of Maryland.

Elissa Orlando 鈥82, Eng., was recently promoted to senior vice president after 18 years at WXXI. She is responsible for television programming and production and all of WXXI鈥檚 news operations, including radio, TV, online, and digital.

Tracey Brewster 鈥89, Bus. Admin., began working at StormFrog as a service delivery manager in May 2013.

'90s

Laurie King 鈥95, Psy., relocated to Raleigh, N.C., in May 2013. She is currently employed as an outreach athletic trainer by Triangle Orthopedic Associates and assists with athletic trainer services at two high schools in the Raleigh area.

Jeffrey McCaffrey 鈥96, 鈥02G, Bus. Admin, Mgmt., recently left Alstom Signaling Inc., where he was a senior project manager, to take a position at The Gleason Works as the manager of the project and contract management organization.

Wendy Barnhart Ross 鈥97, Hist., was recently elected president of the Rochester Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication and will serve a one-year term.

Julianna Sikes 鈥97, 鈥01G, Art Edu., Gen. Edu., taught in the Canandaigua City School District from 1997 to 2005, then moved back to her home state of California to accept a position as an assistant principal.

Margaret LeJeune 鈥98, Studio Art, is assistant professor of photography at Bradley University in Peoria, Ill. Her recent series of photographs, The Modern Day Diana, is getting national and international attention. LeJeune鈥檚 series is currently featured on Slate.com, one of the leading internet magazines in the U.S., and in the online version of the Daily Mail, one of the top newspapers in England.

John Powell 鈥99, Soc. Sci., recently accepted the position of principal of Stillwater Elementary in Stillwater, N.Y., after working 11 years at Stillwater Central Schools as a teacher and assistant principal.

'00s

Ryan McDermott 鈥00, Bus. Admin., has been named vice president and relationship manager at M&T Bank for the Central New York region. He previously worked for KeyBank.

Timothy D. Boldt 鈥01, Poli. Sci., has been named a 2013 New York Super Lawyers Rising Star.

Jason Richardson 鈥06, 鈥11G, IT, Mgmt., started a new job as reliability operations lead at Palantir Technologies.

Kate Wheeler 鈥06, Art Ed., recently accepted a full-time position as a seventh and eighth grade fine arts teacher in Grants, New Mexico.

Laura Mancuso 鈥07, Studio Art, teaches workshops and classes on printmaking at Anchorage Community Works, a new community art center in Anchorage, Alaska. She had a solo exhibition in January 2014 and participated in an Object Runway show where artists and designers created outfits using found and unique objects. She also participated in the International Gallery of Contemporary Art Members Exhibition in January 2013.

'10s

Emily Brasley 鈥10, Comm. Rhet., began a literary magazine called Canto Magazine, which gives emerging writers the opportunity to be published.

Kaitlin Legg 鈥10, Comm., is now the program coordinator at the University of North Florida鈥檚 Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) Resource Center. She was formerly the program assistant at the Susan B. Anthony Institute for Gender and Women鈥檚 Studies.

Rebecca Nagel 鈥10, Bio., completed her master鈥檚 work in population genetics at the University of Mainz, Germany. She has been accepted into a Ph.D. position at the University of Potdsam (Germany), where she will be working with African weakly electric fish.

Amanda Poppe 鈥11, Edu., recently completed a three-month internship in higher education administration at U.C. Berkeley.

Rikesh 鈥淩icky鈥 Lad 鈥12, Bus. Admin., works for Macmillan Publishers within their international marketing department.

Becky Welch Thompson 鈥12, Bus. Admin., works at Six Month Smiles as a lab specialist.

James Wood 鈥12, Mktg., works at Goulds Water Technology, a Xylem, Inc. brand in Seneca Falls, N.Y., as a product specialist in the applications group.

Benjamin Stracuzzi 鈥13, Env. Sci., recently got a job with LaBella Associates, PC, as an environmental analyst.
