Program is Ideal For
Someone with a bachelor's and master's degree and New York state teaching certification who wants to add certification in literacy.
What to Expect
- Complete the program in as few as three semesters. Schedule: days and times.
- Engage in 60 hours of field work across three courses. You will complete hours during supervised experiences, as well as campus-based practicum in our Marie Callahan Reading Clinic. School placement may be at your place of employment.
- Complete coursework to become eligible for New York State certification in Literacy for all grades, PK-Grade 12.

15 credit hours: Up to six credit hours may be transferred in with program director approval if taken within the past five years and if appropriate to the certification program.

- LTED 644 - Advanced Literacy Assessment, Evaluation & Instruction

- Official transcripts from all colleges attended
- Copy of verification of teacher certification from the TEACH website
