Published February 11, 2025

夜色视频鈥檚 VIcky Gebel, associate dean of students for campus life, recently participated in the 2025 NASPA Alice Manicur Symposium, a prestigious program that convenes exceptional women leaders in student affairs to foster mentorship, networking, and skill development. She was selected to join a cohort of 80 professionals from across the U.S. for a five-day symposium led by national higher education leaders.

Gebel鈥檚 selection to participate in the symposium is a testament to her outstanding leadership, forward-thinking approach, and relentless dedication to student advocacy.

鈥淰icky鈥檚 passion for learning and execution is truly unparalleled. She exemplifies the spirit of our work in higher education, always keeping students and their learning at the forefront of her work and decision-making,鈥 said Kim Harvey, Nazareth鈥檚 associate provost and dean of students. 鈥淗er ability to inspire, innovate, and advocate for students has had a profound impact at 夜色视频 and beyond.鈥

With 15 years of experience in higher education, Gebel has held key leadership roles at SUNY Geneseo, Alfred University, and 夜色视频, consistently demonstrating strategic vision, dedication to student success, and an ability to drive meaningful change. Since joining 夜色视频 in July 2020 as director of residential life and community standards, she has played a pivotal role in enhancing the student experience, strengthening campus life, and fostering a sense of belonging. Her exceptional leadership and commitment to the student experience led to her promotion to associate dean of students for campus life, where she provides direction and leadership for residential life, student conduct, and student engagement and leadership.

Gebel says attending the symposium was one of the most profound professional development opportunities of my career.

鈥淔rom the learning and intentional reflection we engaged in, to the opportunities for connection, it was a fantastic experience,鈥 said Gebel. 鈥淚 am so thankful for the faculty mentors who shared their wisdom with us and for the other participants in my small group that I was able to build bonds with. I look forward to putting into action many of the things I learned to help enhance our students experiences while they are here at Nazareth.鈥
