Nazareth students present at Phi Alpha Theta history honor society conference

Nazareth College history honor society students recently traveled to Pennsylvania to present at the eastern Pennsylvania and central/western New York Regional Phi Alpha Theta history honor society conference at Mansfield University.

Nazareth was among 10 colleges and universities presenting a total of 34 papers.听

The following Nazareth students presented:

Emma Baldwin, 鈥淭he Buffalo Pan-American Exposition (1901 World鈥檚 Fair): An Emblem of Optimism and Influence鈥

Jessica Michels, 鈥淧atroon, Patriot, and Major General: Philip Schuyler鈥檚 Controversial Involvement in the Revolutionary War鈥

Chiara Osborne, 鈥淩einventing the Wheel: The Judson Dance Theater and Postmodern Experimentation鈥

Kayla Petri, 鈥淚roquois Women: Gender Roles, Resistance, and Adaptation鈥

Nina Stockman, 鈥淎merica鈥檚 Anarchist: The Unintended Consequences of Assassinating William McKinley"

Timothy Thibodeau, Ph.D., Nazareth Phi Alpha Theta chapter adviser, was a session chair and judge.

Other institutions attending included: Alfred University, Buffalo State, SUNY Geneseo, Ithaca College, Mansfield University, Marywood University, Susquehanna University, University of Buffalo, and Ursinus College.
