Nazareth Nursing Earns Highest Scores With Nursing Exam Pass Rate
Nazareth College nursing students outperformed those in all area nursing baccalaureate programs in 2018 with a licensing exam passing rate of 97.87 percent. Passing the Registered Professional Nurse National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) is the required pathway to becoming a licensed professional nurse in the United States, and is widely considered one of the most challenging professional licensure examinations across all occupations.
鈥淚t is wonderful to celebrate the hard work and team effort that has led to these results,鈥� said Dr. Mary Dahl Maher, chair of Nazareth鈥檚 Nursing Department. 鈥淎long with surpassing the pass rate of all other Rochester-area baccalaureate nursing programs, Nazareth College 听ranked third in New York State鈥檚 traditional pre-licensure baccalaureate programs, well above the state average of 听79.54 for those programs, and the national average of 85.56. 听
