Nazareth's Optical Laser Laboratory is equipped with advanced instrumentation typically not accessible to students at primarily undergraduate institutions, providing a unique applied experience.

Rochester is a leading optics and photonics hub. The optics minor prepares you for careers in biomedicine, imaging, and nanotechnology by integrating life sciences, photonics, and advanced optical techniques. Gain interdisciplinary training and hands-on experience in this rapidly growing field.

The minor complements the study of chemistry, biomedical sciences, biochemistry, and mathematics, equipping graduates with the critical thinking and technical skills needed for careers in medical technology, photonics, and optical systems innovation.
